Groundworks Operative

Our leading groundworks company offers groundwork, excavation, drainage, and utility services. We also offer path laying, patio laying and preparation of surfaces.

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Surfacing Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Role

You will be key to our surfacing work, reporting to the Operations Manager. Using tarmac pavers and other equipment, you will help deliver top-quality results. We need someone proactive and safety-focused, dedicated to making our projects a success.

• Operate tarmac pavers and other surfacing equipment efficiently and safely.
• Execute surfacing tasks according to project specifications and timelines.
• Assist with preparing work sites, including excavation, levelling, and compacting surfaces as necessary.
• Work with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• Valid CSS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualifications
• Experience with tarmac paver operations is essential.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality results.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Full UK driving license.

• Competitive pay rate: £120 - £150 per shift (depending on experience).
